This chair is adjustable to 12 different seat height levels, locking at your ideal seat level.

...the cellist's knees and hips to rest at greater than 90 degrees?
...the cellist's back to be straight?
...the cellist's weight to be on the balls of the feet?
...the cellist's body to be balanced, left/right AND front/back?
The Dura-Adjustable Cello Chair may be better suited to younger cellists who require a lower seat level. It will also serve well for guitarists and string bassists. I'm writing to let you know how very happy I am with the portable cello chair I just received in the mail yesterday.
Both my cello and guitar teachers are in their 20s and have serious back problems, which I am determined to avoid! I'm convinced that an ergonomically correct and adjustable chair is the answer to my prayers, but I was really impressed by how comfortable this new chair is.
It has totally eliminated the misalignment I've been struggling with and resolved the "domino effect" of shoulder, neck, arm, back, and knee compression I've had when sitting on unsuitable chairs.
It's really strange that so many teachers ignore the impact that incorrect posture can have on one's performance, especially for beginners!
