Everything Cello is owned and operated by Dan and Brooke Delaney in New York, NY. Our goal is to combine the convenience of online shopping with personal service, expertise, and attention from your fellow cellists. We aim to advise intelligently and deliver promptly. We are always seeking the input of other cellists regarding selection of strings, music editions, equipment needs, etc. Our inventory is always adjusting and expanding to best meet your needs. The result, we hope, is to provide cellists – student, professional, and amateur – with the tools and connections needed to enjoy their art and apply it in the world.

Cellist Daniel Delaney, author of the Everything Cello Newsletter and The Art of the Inner Hand Series, is a leading cellist, performer and educator, in New York City. A native of Spokane, WA, Mr. Delaney holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Cello from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Music degree in Cello from the Mannes College of Music in New York.

He has performed extensively as soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe, Canada, and the United States. Since 1995 Mr. Delaney has performed frequently with the Ferris Piano Trio, the Knox and LeVoy String Quartets, the Douglas String Quartet and Sextet, and the Celtic Consort. He has appeared as an orchestral and chamber music clinician at the Clearwater Arts Camp (Newport, WA) and as an instructor of chamber music at the Strings International Music Festival (Bryn Mawr, PA). His primary instructors have included Wayne C. Smith, James Fittz, Owen Carman, and Paul Tobias.

Mr. Delaney is a busy freelance cellist and guest artist in New York City. His recent ensemble performances have included New York Ensemble 212 (Manhattan), Manhattan Chamber Symphonee at Barge Music (Brooklyn, NY), and the Huxley Vertical Cabaret Nouveau (Manhattan).

As we endeavor to serve the greater community of cellists, we employ cellists to serve at every level of our business. This includes web design and maintenance, order fulfillment, customer service, product evaluation and review, merchandise inspection and handling, etc. As an employer, it is our goal to enable our employees to function as cellists first.
