The adapter fits onto the tip of your endpin and tightens down with the turn of a thumb screw.

The Cello Point Adapter is compatible with most standard cello endpins. However, it is not compatible with New Harmony Cello Endpins.

This endpin adapter really does allow you to play on any surface. I've tried it on concrete and tiles and it really works. I like the fact that I can easily remove it for everyday use (because it truly is very sharp) and that it is easy to fit to the endpin when I need it.
